# Connect VTEX

> Import your VTEX customers, orders and products into RevBridge with an App Key and App Token.

Connect your VTEX store with an API key from your VTEX admin. RevBridge imports your customers, orders and products every 15 minutes.

## What RevBridge imports

| VTEX data | Becomes in RevBridge |
| - | - |
| Customers | Profiles in [People](https://docs.revbridge.ai/features/people.md), plus a `sign_up` event |
| Orders | `purchase` events |
| Products | Your product catalog |

The first import brings the most recent orders first, then works back through two years of history. For a large store, the full history can take up to a day.

## Before you start: create an API key in VTEX

**1. Open API keys in VTEX**

In your VTEX admin, click your avatar and go to **Account settings → API keys**.

**2. Generate a key**

Click **+ Generate key**. Choose access profiles that can read orders, customers and catalog.

**3. Save both values**

Copy the **App Key** (it starts with `vtexappkey-`) and the **App Token**. VTEX shows the App Token only once, through a single-access link.

## Connect your store

**1. Open the VTEX card**

Go to **Data → Integrations**, find **VTEX** under **Stores** and click **Connect**.

**2. Fill in the form**

* **VTEX account name**: the name before `.myvtex.com` in your admin address. You can also paste `yourstore.myvtex.com`.
* **App Key** and **App Token**: the values you created above.

**3. Click Connect VTEX**

RevBridge saves the connection and schedules the import. The first import starts within 15 minutes.

Once connected, the VTEX card shows **Connected** with your store address, and the button changes to **View import**.

## Follow the import

Open **Data → Overview**. While the history is loading, the VTEX row shows **Importing order history** with a percentage and the date reached so far. When it finishes, the row shows the date orders are synced through. See [Check your data syncs](https://docs.revbridge.ai/integrations/data-overview.md).

## If something goes wrong

| Message | What to do |
| - | - |
| Enter the account name (e.g. yourstore) or the address yourstore.myvtex.com. | Check the account name in your VTEX admin address. |
| The App Key starts with vtexappkey- and ends with capital letters or numbers. | Copy the App Key again, without spaces. |
| The App Token has only capital letters. Paste the full value, without spaces. | Paste the full App Token. If you lost it, generate a new key in VTEX. |
| We could not save the connection with these details. | Check that the key's access profiles can read orders, customers and catalog, then try again. |
| Your connection is saved, but the import did not start. | Click **Check connection again**. If it keeps failing, contact [support@revbridge.ai](mailto:support@revbridge.ai). |

If an import is paused, the card shows **This store's import is paused.** Resume it from **Data → Overview**.

> "How many customers bought twice or more in the last 6 months?"
